Competition Format

The long course will be 9.8 mile/ 15.77km loop with 877ft/267meters of climbing mixed in.  Almost 100% single track.

Cross Country is an individual or mass start competition which is held on a circuit course comprised of forest roads, Forest or field trails and unpaved dirt or gravel roads (a minimal amount of paved road may be necessary at time). This should be a circuit course with a minimum distance of 3.2 km (2 miles) per lap. The course may include hazardous conditions and features. The race will be approximately 1 ½ hours to 2 hours duration.

The Elite Class is an 18+ age, skill-based class and is reserved for advanced and expert level riders ONLY. Beginners and intermediate riders should not enter this. class. All ages may enter this class. The Elite Class is the most competitive class and will complete 5 laps on the designated course for a total of 21.5 miles.

1. Can I register for more than one sport?
Where possible, you are welcome to compete in as many sports as you like. However, please keep in mind some sports may overlap in schedule. We DO NOT recommend registering for sports with overlapping schedules. Register for your primary sports and disciplines, then once the final schedule is released in May, you can register for additional sports as the schedule allows. 

2. Can I rent a mountain bike?
You can rent a mountain bike from a local bike shop who is a little over 1 mile / 1.6km from the venue. You can visit their website here.

3. Can I compete in the long course with a gravel bike?
The long course mountain bike course will be almost 100% single track.  It is possible to ride a gravel bike on the trails.  There are a few rocky sections but most of the trails look like the photo on the venue tab. 

 

This sport is not sanctioned with a national or international entity. It is only governed by the WPFGF.

 

The confirmation letter for Mountain Bike will be emailed to you and posted here by June 1, 2025.

The short course will be roughly .75mile / 1.2km and 100ft/30m of climbing. The duration will about 25 minutes of racing.

The Elite Class is an 18+, skill -based, class and is reserved for advanced and expert level riders ONLY. Beginners and intermediate riders should NOT enter this class. All ages may enter this class. The Elite Class is the most competitive class and will be the class that completes three (3) full laps of the course.
