The Individual and Team competitions are separate events. It is not required that a person enter the individual event to participate in the team competition without register for this specific event.
Competitors from police and fire agencies may combine to form Doubles and/or Teams, regardless of agency size or service WITHIN A COUNTRY. Retired competitors may combine to form Doubles or Teams in any manner they wish with other eligible competitors whether Police or Fire. This includes across country lines or whether any other member of the Doubles or Team is actively employed or retired.

A briefing will be held the day/evening before the event to explain, demonstrate and assist competitors with rule interpretation, the species of fish to be caught and to define the fishing area.
Competition to be held over a maximum 6-hour period.
The tournament hours will be 10:00 am (Blast off) until 4:00 pm (Check-in). All fishing activity will be conducted between these hours.
All competitors should arrive no later than 7:30 am to provide for ample time to park vehicles, prepare and meet with partners. This will also provide ample time for pre-tournament information to be given to competitors.
Medals are awarded First through Third Place (1st – 3rd).

1. Can I register for more than one sport?
Where possible, you are welcome to compete in as many sports as you like. However, please keep in mind some sports may overlap in schedule. We DO NOT recommend registering for sports with overlapping schedules. Register for your primary sports and disciplines, then once the final schedule is released in May, you can register for additional sports as the schedule allows.
2. Do I need to supply my own fishing equipment?
Competitors must supply their own fishing equipment suitable for the type of angling being held. Landing nets are allowed for landing the fish.
3. Can I use keepnets?
Yes, you may use several keepnets. Only non-metallic keepnets with a minimum diameter of 40cm and a minimum length of 250 cm may be use.
4. Are there any meetings prior to the competition?
Yes, each contestant must check-in, in person at the designated pre-tournament meeting site. Every contestant must attend the pre-tournament meeting to record, takeoff time, check-in time, off-limits areas, size and creel limits, and any other relevant tournament rule information.
5. What is the target species?
We will be fishing for bass in Lake Logan Martin utilizing boats.
6. Can I combine with other agencies to form a team?
Competitors from police and fire agencies may combine to form Doubles and/or Teams, regardless of agency size or service WITHIN A COUNTRY. Retired competitors may combine to form Doubles or Teams in any manner they wish with other eligible competitors whether Police or Fire. This sport is not sanctioned with a national or international entity. It is only governed by the WPFGF.
The confirmation letter for angling will be emailed to you and posted here by June 1, 2025.
