The World Police & Fire Games (WPFG) are an Olympic-style competition with thousands of athletes representing First Responders from different countries across the world! With over 60+ sporting events and over 8500+ participants, this event is one for the books!

Volunteers will get a t-shirt and meals provided.

You'll need to provide your agency ID & photo ID in order to receive your credentials. You will need to check-in at the registration/accretitation desk at the BJCC before you can compete or acess certain areas. More information is provided at the link attached: https://bhm2025.com/accreditation/.

Registration & accreditation will be located at the Host Registration Center at Host Headquarters which will be located at the Birmingham Jefferson Convention Complex (BJCC). 

We are happy to provide our logo for usage but need to understand how and where you are using the official trademarks. Please fill out this form to get the approval for the logo. 

The World Police and Fire Games has four main platforms, including: Instagram, Facebook, X (Twitter) and YouTube. Follow our official pages to stay up to date on all things WPFG related! 

Security will be on site for most events, as well as utilizing a safety command center at the BJCC. For any major updates, follow the World Police and Fire Games on Instagram, Facebook, X (Twitter) and YouTube.

Parking information varies from venue to venue, however most will have free parking. For more information, utilize the "Venues" page: https://bhm2025.com/venues/ to see specific parking details for your event location.

You do not need to qualify for the World Police and Fire Games. As long as you are eligible, you can register to compete. 

No. It is not sanctioned with a national or international entity. It is only governed by the World Police and Fire Games Federation.

While you are able to register for multiple sports, we recommend only registering for your primary sports and disciplines. Once the final schedule is released, you can register for additional sports if the schedule allows.

Each athlete will get a welcome bag once they check in at the accreditation desk with information and goody items from local sponsors, as well as gain access to the Athlete's Village. 

Competitors must be 18 or older by the first day of competition in order to be eligible to compete.

Athletes' Village is the home of First Responder athletes. It is a central hub for athletes, providing a place for them to stay, relax, and connect with each other, as well as other opportunities to explore expo booths and more! Only registered athletes and those who have registered for a Friends & Family Accreditation can access Athletes' Village. 

Athlete's Village will be located at CityWalk BHAM, a 31 acre multi-use public space. It is easily walkable from the Host Hotels & is part of Uptown's "Entertainment District," allowing patrons to enjoy public spaces with an open container of alcohol. 

Family and friends do have access to the Village, with a Family & Friends Pass. 

Game & Event Logistics

Opening Ceremony will take place indoors at Legacy Arena at the Birmingham Jefferson Convention Complex.

Closing Ceremony will be located at the Birmingham City Walk.

There are unlimited rolling substitutions allowed during the Games.

Birmingham-Shuttlesworth International Airport (BHM) is just minutes from the Host Hotels, and is prepared to welcome thousands of First Responder athletes! 

You can also fly into Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL), which is approximately 2.5 hours from Birmingham. ATL offers car rentals, as well as a shuttle service to Birmingham.
